About LumenLog

A calmer way to notice how your days are going.

LumenLog is an independently developed iPhone app for mood check-ins, small care habits, private journaling, and gentle reflection over time.

Why LumenLog exists

Many wellbeing tools ask for too much: long journal entries, perfect streaks, complicated scores, or a constant sense that you should be improving. LumenLog was created around a smaller idea. A useful reflection habit should fit into an ordinary day and still leave you with something worth looking back on.

The app combines simple mood language, optional notes, three small care habits, calendar history, trends, and weekly or monthly reviews. The aim is perspective, not performance.

Calm by design

Check-ins stay brief, the language stays human, and the app avoids productivity guilt or pressure to maintain a perfect streak.

Transparent about boundaries

LumenLog is for personal reflection. It is not medical advice, therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support.

Private by default

Entries live on your device and can sync through your Apple iCloud account. App lock, export, and deletion controls stay in your hands.

AI used carefully

AI features use only the context needed for a requested insight. Richer note context is optional, and output is framed as reflection rather than authority.

Who makes LumenLog

LumenLog is designed and developed in the UK by Aaron Strickland. Product decisions, website copy, support material, and reflection guides are written from direct experience building and using the app.

No medical or clinical expertise is claimed. When the website discusses wellbeing, it stays within the app's purpose: personal mood tracking, journaling routines, care habits, privacy, and practical reflection.

How website content is created

Every guide on this site is written to answer a specific question a LumenLog user might reasonably have. Examples are based on the features and language available in the app. Pages are reviewed for accuracy against the current product and updated when the app changes.

  • Product claims should match features that are currently available.
  • Privacy explanations should state clearly when AI processing is involved.
  • Wellbeing copy should avoid diagnosis, treatment claims, urgency, or clinical certainty.
  • Guides should be useful even if the reader does not download the app.
  • Substantial updates should include a visible updated date.

Privacy and AI

LumenLog stores entries on your iPhone and supports iCloud-backed sync. Gemini-powered insights are generated through a stateless API that protects the service key and does not intentionally store check-ins, notes, habits, prompts, or generated insight text. Notes are included only when the relevant option is enabled.

For the exact current handling of data and third-party processing, read the Privacy Policy. Privacy questions can be sent to hello@lumenlog.app.

Contact and support

For product questions, accessibility feedback, corrections, or support, email hello@lumenlog.app. Clear corrections are welcomed, especially when a website page no longer matches the current app.
